Kabita, D/o Upendra Samantaray belongs to a very poor family from Chakradharpur, countryside of Badsahi Block in the district Mayurbhanj. Though a girl, she was always aware about her responsibilites to support her family for a better future. It was during the same time that IndiaCan opened up a training centre at Baripada, Mayurbhanj under Special SGSY project of MoRD, for imparting skill trainings in various trades. She enrolled herself at the centre after prelimlary enquiry and was alloted Retail trade based on her aptitude. She underwent the training with lot of enthusiam. Currently, she is placed with “The Mobile Store”, Bhubaneswar (A unit of ESSAR group) with monthly CTC of Rs. 6600+.
Dukharu was a very studious child since childhood but devoid of opportunities as he was stranded in a village of one of the backward districts of the country. Coming from a family of farmers of very limited means with a monthly income of not more than Rs. 2500.00, he always tried hard to continue his education. Despite all the straitjackets, he never gave up his spirits. With the start of IndiaCan MoRD centre in Jagdalpur, Chattisgarh many youth, in this case particularly Dukharu, were immensely benefitted. As vouched by themselves, this was the first time that they got trained, apart from the technical aspects, in computer and communication skills which boosted their self confidence. Currently, he is employed with Honda Service Centre, Jagdalpur as Sales Executive thus earning him a salary of Rs. 3500.00 apart from incentives.
Sushanta Singh, S/O Bhaktabandhu Singh hails from a rural area of Shamakhunta block. He was forced to discontinue his education after 12th std. due to lack of resouces, as can be seen from the picture whereby he is shown standing in front of his house.
At that time when he felt helpless, Situations started turning in his favour, when he joined the IndiaCan training centre and got enrolled in Accounting on Computer trade. Beliving in the adage “Hard work is the key of success” today Sushanta is going miles in his current job with leading popular brand “Mphasis”, Bhubaneswar with his annual income crossing 70000/- per annum. Now, his life is full of joy and happiness making his parents proud by carving his own identity in the society.

For Pabitra who is currently working as Customer care Executive in AEGIS, Kolkata, life was never the same. Having left his education midway after finishing class 12th due to weak financial sitution of his family, which comprises of his parents and 2 siblings.
It was only after he attended the Office Assistant (OA) trade training classes at IndiCan MoRD centres that catapulted him into a growth oriented individual.
During campus interview conducted by AEGIS, he was selected as Customer Care Executive with a salary of Rs 5700 per month and other benefits like ESI,PF etc.
Now he is working with AEGIS in Kolkata office. He and his family members are very happy & they are thankful to IndiaCan because of whom he is now able to help his family members financially. Now, Pabitra has also decided to continue his Graduation in distance mode in order to continue his pursuit for growth.
Anita was just a simple primary school teacher and she use to earn 1200.00 per month & her entire family used to manage around Rs. 7200.00 per annum. She started feeling suffocating as there was no scope of her making any further good from her present livelihood. It was at this juncture that she came to know about Indiacan’s training centre which was up and running in Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh). She decided to give it a shot after attending one of the CMD programmes and got herself enrolled in the Office Assistant (OA) trade.
Sheer hard worh combined with the guidance of the facuty at the centre she evolved into a better professional thanks to which she got selected in Godrej Appliances, Raipur as a Back Office executive (Telecaller). This job is paying her handsomely, as compared to what she was drawing earlier.She adds that its not the Rs. 6000.00 salary she earns thats motivates her but the opportunity to rise further that propels her to work hard everyday.
Hailing from a very humbled background of very limited resources with his family income of Rs. 2500.00 per month, Shiv lal had distinct dreams of making it big in life but he was not able to explore the avenues for long in the absence of any guidance and training support. Defying all odds, he joined IndiaCan Government training centre. During his training stint with IndiaCan, not only was he groomed in various technical aspects of the trade but also he gained confidence to face the world. It is only because of the tremendous efforts put in by the trainers and the unrelentless learning pursuit of his, that today he is looking forward to a fulfilling future.
Currently, he is working as CAMP MASTER in company-SHIV SHAKTI and is earning more than Rs. 5000.00 per month, twice of what his family income was prior to his undergoing training with IndiaCan. He is quite satisfied with his job and is working hard for future growth.
